25 Motif Tatting Challenge

I joined the 25 motif tatting challenge in mid-October last year but the blog I was using seems to have disappeared so now I am here. I have completed seven motifs: one dove, two butterflies, three snowmen, and a cross bookmark. The snowman on the left was the first one I tatted and the one on the right was the third, which I made into a pin for my mother for Christmas. The second butterfly I tatted while waiting at the dentist office and gave to the receptionist ( who was very excited about receiving it) and so do not have a picture

That was so very nice of you to give the tatted butterfly to the receptionist!

Hi, wicketats. I used a width of stiff cardboard and wrapped the thread around it. Then took a separate piece of thread and slipped it under the threads at one end of the cardboard and tied a knot. Then carried that thread back down and hid it in the middle. I cut the threads at the opposite end of the cardboard. Then carried the thread from the top back down and hid it in the middle. Taking a separate thread again I tied the thread a couple of times just below the top and again worked it into the middle of the tassel. If you can't follow this explanation, or are having further difficutlties, I will again try to help.
